Welcome to the Wellness Training Web course Review.
You are invited to surf through our web course.  The seven (7) modules relate to your school environment and basic nutrition for the students to whom you provide educational opportunities. If you wish to take this course for CEU credit, please click here.

                Wellness Training Web Course Introduction Review

Module 1 Review - Module One will review School Environment and Basic Nutrition for the Students.

 

Module 2 Review - Module Two will review the 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. It is a comprehensive summary of recommendations for a healthy lifestyle.

MyPyramid.govModule 3 Review - Module Three will investigate the MyPyramid.gov website. This interactive website will help bring the 2005 Dietary Guidelines for Americans into focus.  The tools will assist your students in utilizing the dietary guidelines when choosing meals and activity. The MyPyramid.gov website will broaden a student’s knowledge base and provide tools to help teachers, parents, and students make meal and activity decisions that provide a foundation for a healthy lifestyle.

Module 4 Review - Module Four will present resources that provide the reader with the core concepts centering on physical activity for children and the benefits that are derived from being active.  
 

Module 5 Review - Module Five reviews the school environment in which children and adolescents spend a significant part of their lives.  In these settings children utilize their time learning relevant skills necessary to become successful young adults. 

Module 6 Review - Module Six will review social modeling and community support for wellness programs in the school.   
 

Module 7 Review - Module Seven, the last in this series, is focused on bringing together the research and resources to support wellness in the school environment and the school community.
